I've always been passionate about providing exceptional service to others.

My hospitality mentor:
For 13 years, I worked closely with my (now former) President & CEO at the GTHA who retired in 2022. He inspired me to go above and beyond for others and taught me so much about the industry, working with government and stakeholders. He mentored me as I moved from Executive Assistant to now VP.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?
I love working with our Board of Directors. The experience and knowledge around the room is invigorating and I have learned a lot from their years of experience. Leading our partnerships is also a key component of my role and allows me to interact with a variety of stakeholders which I enjoy.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?
There is so much opportunity and areas for growth within the tourism sector. It's a great industry with fun and kind people which continues to inspire me to reach out of my comfort zone.

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:
Careers in the hospitality sector are limitless. It is a fulfilling career. Try it- you will love it! Apply for those scholarships and network! (A scholarship is how I got into TIAO and then GTHA!)
